Job Description

Schneider Electric is looking for a motivated and enthusiastic offer management professional to lead sustainability innovation across the Digital Energy Division. Working as part of the newly established Digital Energy Sustainability Office, this person will support the decarbonization of upstream and downstream scope 3 emissions for the portfolio. Working in close collaboration with the lines of business and supply chain teams, this individual will accelerate the agenda to reduce environmental impact and promote resource preservation of Digital Energy products.

About the Digital Energy Sustainability Office:

Our mission is to work across the Digital Energy division to deliver the framework and solutions to reduce customers' Scope 2 emissions ( SE's Scope 3 & 4 ) through electrifying operations, reducing energy use, replacing carbon intensive energy sources, and engaging their whole value chain so they can measure and achieve their NetZero ambitions.

About SE's Scope 3 Emissions:
  • Scope 3 upstream includes emissions related the supplier side of SE value chain, such as the purchase (and transport) of raw materials, services or other product
  • Scope 3 downstream includes emissions related to the customer side of SE value chain, such as the use and end-of-life management of our products


Main Responsibilities:
  • Collaborate closely with the Lines of Business on initiatives to reduce Scope 3 upstream and downstream emissions
  • Drive agenda to reduce environmental impact and promote resource preservation for Digital Energy products
  • Lead EcoDesign practices and deployment across the division for durability / repairability / upgradability / recyclability / reusability of products
  • Lead Green Premium initiative for Digital Energy to differentiate products with transparency of environmental and regulatory information
  • Evaluate and develop services to support product circularity, maintenance, and repair i.e. take back & recycle used products & equipment; refurbish & re-commercialize products & equipment (2nd life offer)
  • Work with LoB on environmental performance and compliance certifications i.e. RoHS, REACH, CA prop 65


Job Related Experience and Skills:

  • Bachelor's Degree in engineering, environmental engineering, marketing, or business management; MBA preferred
  • Experience in driving sustainability programs and/ or products that provide environmental, social and economic benefits throughout their whole life cycle
  • 8+ years' experience leading offer development and/or business development
  • Ability to drive transformation across internal stakeholders as well as the market
  • Experience in building automation, facilities management, or similar markets with deep appreciation for products/technologies that enable automation, efficiency, and productivity for human centric, efficient, and sustainable buildings.
  • Strong writing and presentation skills including value proposition
  • Proven track record of developing innovative and disruptive programs
  • High degree of initiative and pro-active management
  • Able to work in a multi-functional and multi-cultural team
  • Must work collaborative to reach consensus, especially when faced with multiple stakeholders
  • Ability to travel internationally <20%
  • Experience in Microsoft Office (Word, Excel, PowerPoint)
